How a Soda Can is Made

The basic soda can seems so simple and, well, basic, but how do they make them? And so quickly? This video from Discovery covers the details of how to churn out 2,000 cans a minute with no mistakes allowed.

Thanks. Than you for bumping an old topic the whole way up to the top just to tell us that. Thank you very much. Good day, Sir!
That's a bit harsh, I hadn't seen this before and thought it was really interesting.
Seriously, I don't get why some people get all bent out of shape when people bump old topics. *Oh my goodness, someone made a comment on an old thread! OMG!* It's silly...
Goodness, aren't we a sarcastic little man today?

Video removed... :(
That's because this post is OLD.
And yet as of this comment, more than 50% of the comments are from today ;-)
It WAS dead, but thanks to chunkeemunky...
Seriously, who cares? It's a sweet process.

Tin plated steel, eh? And it looks like they use magnetics rather extensively to hold cans on the belts. I wonder how different an Al can production line looks!

Cool! I love factory videos.
That's awesome! Also the way they wrapped up the cans in tape or plastic or whatever (at around 1:05) is awesome!
