I Still Exist (And am here to say hello again!)

Hello, everybody.  I've gotta keep this message brief for now, but suffice it to say: I am very much alive and well.  I have sort of dropped K'nex as a hobby but this will not be one of those 'I'm done with K'nexing forever' posts, because nobody ever really is.  If you'd like me to help and collaborate, I am totally open to busting out the K'nex again.  I'll probably message some of you guys to say hello again pretty shortly, but right now, I've got a few things to do before I can do so.  Sorry about that long bout of inactivity...
I'm currently working on digital art (animation, stills, and everything abstract) and you can find my most recent work at the following sites (If anyone's interested):
darkowlartifice.tumblr.com (the final products)
and
ondrewstuffpreview.tumblr.com (works in progress; the password is 'egg.')

Hope all of you guys are doing well!

(Also, to Mods questioning why this is in K'nex: this is an address to old friends who primarily exist in the K'nex community.)

As long as you're willing to build, that's good to hear. Take it from the least active builder that's still one of the more active members. But yeah, follow your other hobbies, especially if you plan on getting a job in one of them. I've been thinking about making a new K'nex website one of these days, but I'm not sure yet.

Hey, TD. I'm still planning on going to engineer, but I figure I can do freelance graphic design on the side as well as sound production. I'll probably write things too, though I'm probably not going to make revenue off of it. How've you been, man?

Smart, engineering will get you far, but you can always do the more artistic things on the side. What sort of engineering you going to focus on?

All is nice on my end, except I don't often have the motivation to build when I get home. I still toss ideas around me head when I can think to. Killerk sent me a TR, which was cool, so I mess around with that every now and then. It's be helping me toss around ideas for a performance weapon.

Thanks; glad to see my tentative life plan has the TD seal of approval. I am probably going to go after a degree in mechanical engineering, but that's just sort of been my standby for my 'man, I want to design so many things; what branch of engineering should I choose?' dilemma.

Turret rifles are a generally good thing to have on hand. I still have the original copy of Syvergent sitting next to me. I never could make a custom turret rifle that I was completely satisfied with. In general, rifles always seemed to excessive for me. I like to keep things so compact, it's almost detrimental, no matter what I'm doing.

I know what you mean about motivation: the day can sap it out of you. Just keep thinking about concepts for that performance weapon and the ideas will come eventually. B)

(On an offhand note, I made a relatively tiny dice tower out of legos. I should post that sometime.)

Sounds like a plan.

Eh, I still find them overrated in many ways. Fun, but not the end all of war weapons. Also agreed, I prefer compact weapons. I find it hard to build weapons that are even larger than a typical yellow block body.

Oh I got the ideas. It's just being able to implement them.

Do it.

Yeah, turret rifles were never the end all be all, but they certainly are a nice generic thing to have in your arsenal. I understand the 'hard to build it too big' plight. That's why I continue to make red-rod-ram-sized things.

Sup DOKta, I still wish to collaborate with you on a BOOK, not K'nex! If you're interested I'll send you my email.

Tumblr has got to be the most confusing thing I've ever seen... I'll stick with Twitter...

Ooh, yeah. We still need to do that book thing. (Tumblr is pretty confusing at first, but it is worth it once you get the hang of it.) This time, we should have some kind of system in which we can talk face-to-face in order to collaborate. Writing a novel together is extremely difficult through just chats (at least for me).

Send me your e-mail and let's get started. B)

Cool to see that you're still alive.
