We regret to inform you that your project Book of Spells box does not fit the requirements for the Halloween Decorations Challenge.
*scratches head*
am I in or am I out?
and while I am here, is there any official definition here of the difference between a prop and a decoration?
I just entered all my stuff in both because it's kind of a vague line.
In Theater, a Prop was anything that the actor held in their hands, Set Decoration was "everything else".
Something like a sword or a book could be either, depending on if the actor ever picked it up. If it just hung on the wall or sat on a shelf, it was decoration.
Is it the same in Instructables?

Do not worry, your project is entered. I'm sorry about the confusion!!
I think the difference here is that decorations are passive, and props are interactive. A decoration might have lights and sound, but they don't react to people. If that same decoration has a sensor so that the lights change as people come closer, then it becomes a prop (caveat: that's where I draw the line, not where HQ draw the line).
