Inappropriate Ads
Hey, I had an inappropriate (in my opinion) google-ad show up. I was searching forums for "chat room" and an ad for Horny Swinger Sex Chat came up. The site was SwingerNet.com . Aside from the fact that I thought it was an ad for a sex-swing (which would at least be interesting), it really goes a bit beyond PG-13. Yeah, this is only the second time I've seen something I really felt was inappropriate. And considering it is the internet, I figure Ibles has a pretty good record of keeping the undesirable stuff out.
A few months ago, Eric posted a Forum topic where you could provide feedback on such issues. Yeah, I know that's too vague to be useful, but it's the best I've got.

Augh! Seriously, Eric had posted a topic months ago, including a mechanism where you could capture which server had generated the inappropriate ad and send it off to Staff, and now I can't find it :-(
I thought that was fixed? The worst I've seen for a long time are those slightly creepy 3d-avatars-in-their-underwear adverts.
Yeh, I mean, they're probably supposed to be sexy, but I look and it's eww! They're about 12 years old!

I forget which firefox add on it is, but one of them lets you know what website its coming from. Maybe adblock? Anyways, I remember someone from ibles saying that the web address is what helps them most.

Yeah, depending on how well they track things...that can be very bad. Where I work, a third party records all of that stuff, and that would have raised all kinds of flags....kind of scares me about visiting here from work anymore.
