Instructable: Worklog

Greetings all,
I am working on my New Project, but it won't be finished till spring of next year.
But I would like to build it with community support, ideas, suggestions.
Is there a WORKLOG section, or a place for a 'in progress' instructable

I see your point, and I agree, the forum topics are good, but topics easily get forgotten and are very hard to bring back to the top. Plus anyone who only checks recent topics would miss it.

I think the best solution is to put up a brand new topic with each new bit/step with a link going back to the previous topic. Then the final worklog can be republished as a full instructable.

There isn't a separate "log" section, but you can:
  • Keep a forum topic updated (like this one)
  • Start a project, save it without publishing, and share the url in a forum or via PM
  • Create a collaboration - start an instructable, then use the "share" tab at the top to give specific people the ability to edit the project.  This is the classic example of a collaboration, with each author creating a step each.
Each idea has different advantages and disadvantages, it's up to you how you do it.
