Instructables Book Contest Winners
Instructables is happy to announce the winners of the Book Contest. All of these Instructables will receive a mention in the Best of Instructables Volume 1 and the authors will receive a copy of the book when it comes out this fall.
Some of the Instructables here have also been selected by O'Reilly editors to be fully reproduced in the book as well.

good job everybody! darn, I'm not in there, well I guess I didn't really try either ;) with all due respect I do not think that kipkay's laser should be in there, he did it very... unwell? I don't think that's a word. Basically hooking up a laser direct to a battery pack is stupid. They are very fragile, need a conditioned power supply and at least someway to limit current, resistor is the simplist, but it's not recomended.
This list is the "popular vote", and Kipkay does have a certain following out there in interweb land.

If you're ever wanting an opinion on your writings gimme a shout, I'm not a great write myself but read an awful lot and have been given writings to read before, my mother is a prolific writer who has never finished anything but should finall get the novel done for me to read, my ex used to write, my brother and I write together since he's a good writer in written expression and we make good stories or just blether about crazy things... long story short I'd like to read something from you...
