Instructables on NPR's Weekend Edition Sunday March 9th, 2008

A story about online DIY culture including Instructables and an interview with me aired Sunday morning on NPR's Weekend Edition Sunday. It was right after the puzzle.

Instructables CEO Eric Wilhelm: The DIY aesthetic, at least sometimes, is about the subversive joy of making a prefab product "do something that it wasn't intended to."

If you missed it, the web edition complete with archived audio, is here:

The piece should be on this Sunday after the puzzle.
Hey, thanks for the reminder....I will have to put a note by my automobile radio (since I will be in the car at the time) to have that on (I listen to that station anyways, when I have the radio on). :-)
oo, I just remembered....this weekend is Bowl for Kids sake week. I might be busy at that time....
Awesome! I'll start my morning with Will Shortz, heal my lacrosse tournament wounds from Saturday, while listening to Eric! What a relaxing Sunday!

NPR? That's on AM, right? And what time is it on PST?
In my area, WITF is an FM station. And if it is not simucast, it will be on whenever the local station has Weekend Edition Sunday scheduled. You should be able to find a local station and schedule online.
Starting here (unless you know your local station's call letters): http://www.npr.org/
Yay! Now I know where to turn in to. Now, will I remember...
Since it is delayed a week now, I am afraid I will forget too *sigh*

The story has been postponed until next Sunday, March 9th.
Aw piddles....I will forget by then *sigh*
I always work on Sundays. I'll have to see if I can get some office time at work to listen to it. :P

Hey thanks for the heads up. I listen on my way to meeting Sunday morning, so if it is on somewhere between 9 am and 9:45 am I will hear it.
WeekEnd Edition with Liane Hansen & John Layne is on from 8 am to 10 am....in my area.
Cool! Hopefully I can hear it. :-)
