So, I started playing around with nowlive, it's a website that lets you host a free internet radio station. Pretty neat. Anyways, I just finished up my first official broadcast..and wanted to let any of you who like the idea of being a dj know.

Good show, do the phrases come with the software or did u just play it over ur speakers with yahoo messenger. What was the name of that song, its like awsome?

Thanks =]

There's a program called vemotion that come with phrases, but you can also upload your own. It's for any chat software that you can talk through. People use it on nowlive when they broadcast via Google Talk.

f.y.i. There'll be another show tonight =]
I'll listen tonight 10 Eastern so -5:00 and I'm at -7:00 GMT so it will start at 8pm for me. Is there DST where u live, otherwise it will start at 7:00pm?

We do use daylight savings time, but i'm not sure if we're on it right now or not. will show you the official US current time for each US time zone.
Okay your on Daylights Savings so you go live at 7 then. I still think DST is overrated it just makes things more confusing for other people, good thing Arizona doesn't have DST.

Do you know what DST is for?
Yes isn't is to adjust time with the sun. I live in Arizona, we have no DST and sun is up at 6am and down at 8Pm in the summer. Then up at 7am and down at 6pm in the winter.

Yes..but there are two reasons that matters:

  • For farmers, they're able to work longer if it's still light out at a decent time
  • Saving electricity, if everyone goes to bed as it's getting dark, we aren't wasting electricity on lights once it is dark.
That makes sense, since we don't have many farms in arizona and the second bullet does apply. I'm still glad I don't have to follow DST.
