I'd love to make a lot of the things on this site but even more than that I'd like to meet members nearby and share ideas, who knows what could come of it! I'd love to make some friends who are interested in this stuff!

I'm in Rhode Island, would love to hear from other locals. Right now I am trying to involve myself at various craft & vendor fairs & festivals, but I'm always looking for fellow crafters to get together with and share ideas and get 'er done!

There is an upcoming Maker Faire in NYC (Queens) that is great for gathering too. I probably won't be able to make it again this year....funds are low.

Maker meet-ups are always fun. You could even organise your own show-and-tell - organise a meeting space, like a church hall or a scout hut, and then get people to turn up and show off their projects.
