Make Faire 2008! Who is planning on Attending?

Make Faire 2008!
Hi,
I was wondering who is planning on attending the Make Faire on May 3 and 4th at the San Mateo Fairgrounds? I convinced my parents to come out (all the way from Wisconsin!!) because it is also my uncles 60th birthday. I will be there on Saturday the 3rd but not the 4th. This is my first time going and I am really looking forward to it.

In case you don't know what the make faire is here is a quick note from the site.
"Maker Faire is a two-day, family-friendly event that celebrates the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) mindset. It's for creative, resourceful people of all ages and backgrounds who like to tinker and love to make things."
Also will instructables have some type of booth up? That would be cool.
Tickets are on sale right now.
Hope to see you all their!
Thanks Joe
BTW this "Faire" spelled with an "e" at the end intentionally. I think it is the old English spelling i don't know though.

not unless someon buys me train tickets from mtl and a hotel room for 4 nights, though i can settle for a holiday inn or somthing, no need to find me 5 stars. ill buy my own ticket, but it would be nice if you included it in the deal.

Not this year, but hopefully next year or in years after that. This year I am participating in my Make a Difference Project. Hopefully I can convince my parents to buy me a ticket for next year's faire.

I'll be there. Hopefully this year it won't end up colliding with the school musical...

Prices seem to have gone up quite a bit. And weekend passes (2 days) are nor simply twice the one-day price. Bummer. I remember being pleasantly surprised at the low ticket price the first year... This will probably cause me to only buy one-day passes in advance :-(

I'll be there. And I believe Instructables will indeed have a booth, like they did last year.

There's a bunch of existing Maker Faire forum topics, by the way, as well as a bunch of instructables for projects that were debuted at Maker Faire '07. Here's two recent ones:

Call for Makers for Maker Faire
SF Maker Faire Entry Deadline Extended

And yes: "This is an awesome event and we'll be there to represent"

Sure, rub it in that I am on the other side of the continent (might as well be on the other side of the world).

Not a hope in hell unless someone fancies buying me tickets, travel and accomodations...

Thanks for the 'if I' little cheer up there... yet indeed.
