It says "Anything that illuminates is eligible to enter and we're excited to see the innovative things you come up with! "

The contest page is broader in scope:

"Show us all of the ways you brighten the dark winter days for your chance to win a Macbook Air or iPad2. This contest is open to Instructables, Photos, and Videos. Anything that illuminates is eligible to enter and we're excited to see the innovative things you come up with!"
