Old Laptop; what to do with it?
Hey there everyone. I have not really posted here before but I am really stuck for ideas. I recently required an old, old laptop and I don't know what to do with it. It's supa slow and the screen is very dodgy. It's noisy and low spec. Any ideas?

Install linux and use it to play movies and music and maybe internet

That did go through my mind. It will get a distro of linux eventually. I can't stand windows. But it's not high enough spec to play them at a decent quality, and the connection to the screen does not work unless the screen is strait up and the laptop tilted to the left.

its a laptop - it uses very low amount of electricity if you need a system to run much time - like local freenet server - thats it install any linux on it and use ssh to control it remotely from other computers i use Arch linux on m desktop (pentium 3) and recommend it. if you like to tinker with stuff you gonna like this system. and it has good performance on old boxes
if its broke disassemble it for parts, that's all i can think of

Oh? What like? I guess I could have it as a huge media remote or something XD. The problem it there is no wireless and it has the battery life of roadkill.
