Periodic table of condiments

Nope, that isn't a typo. You've heard of the periodic table of elements? Well, check out this hilarious table of condiments that periodically go bad.

From Condiment No. 1 (Mayonnaise, which the table says goes bad in 3 months) to Condiment No. 75 (Maraschino, which apparently never goes bad), you can look up just about any condiment you can name to see when you need to toss it out. Or at least when these people think it goes bad.

Take it with a grain of salt (Condiment No. 2, it never goes bad!) though-it claims Lemon goes bad in 2 months. Stuff and nonsense. I've eaten 3 month old lemons that were perfectly good.

Mendeleev would be so proud...

I just use my tongue to tell if something goes bad. Its calibrated. : P (i get paid to eat things) Somethings like salad dressing, if you keep it in a fridge it lasts longer (unopened) so it can be expired and still be usable. But things like nuts and oils can get oxidized and become stale. An example is those shortbread cookies that came last year in that metal tin. Eat one, that stale taste is the oil being oxidized by the air and turning rancid.
I just use someone elses tongue (and digestive system) to check questionable items. "Hey, give it to Mikey. He'll eat anything!"
Maraschino - N/A I'm just going to assume that means I can stockpile them and eat them forever. This table is obviously the ultimate proof. :D :D :D
... a month late... but yeah I think it does, and I can stock up on bacon bits! wooooo whoooooo!

I'm sad I didn't think it up myself...

That IS cute :-) I have quarrel with #53 however: Jalapeno may last that long if pickled, but then it isn't really Jalapeno anymore....straight off the vine Jalapenos will only last a few days, unless used or cooked (or *sigh* pickled). ;-)

I will have to print off a copy for the Fridge
*Double take.* *Busts out laughing.*
