It's live now. It was an interesting read too, I'd never seen hugelkultur.

Relax, the project has published, but it has tripped the site filters for some reason (I'm going to guess that the large number of links made the filters think it was spam, but don't take that as gospel truth).

As I type, it's 3am at HQ* - when they wake up, they will check the filters and release your project to a wider audience.

In the mean time, feel free to spread the link to your project to whoever you like.

*I'm not at HQ!

As of tHis morning the post is still broken when not logged in

I'm ok with it going to moderation but don't appreciate the site telling me it's live. I linked to it on my blog and Facebook and nobody can view it

Also on my mobile u can only see step 1 Click next results in page not found and the image is broken

If u log in then u can see it

Not cool.

See the date-stamp on our posts? That's the time in Caifornia, still almost 5am when you hit "post".

The link should work - I can see it, and I have no special access.

The mobile is a different issue, and HQ are working on a mobile-friendly version of the site.

Dude, your not getting it. I'm totally FINE with waiting for my stuff to be posted. My issue is that the website software told me it was 100% live and that I should start sending the link out to all my social networks, blogs, and my neighbor ted.

If an instructable is held for moderation there should be an indication to the user that it is in that state so that they aren't spreading around broken links to their user community.

Now I had to print out the instructable to a PDF and post that on my blog so I could stop getting emails "Hey man, your link is broken"

In summation: Being held for moderation = FINE

Being told your project is live when it is, in fact, not = NOT FINE

Anyway I am happy the instructable is up now and in the future I'll wait a day or before linking my projects up.

The site has automatic filters to protect it from spam. Something in yours probably tripped those filters, if you were a real spammer and you thought that the spammy content wasn't live, you'd edit your Instructable until you found out what had tripped the filters and then get around them. This way means that a few people are inconvenienced, but it's better than the site being rife with spam. It can be frustrating, but usually staff pick out the non-spammy ones within 12-24 hours.

I still love the site. Was just frustrated by this experience of repeatedly telling my users to view a link and it not working. I'm ready to move on!

Thanks

See my latest comment... if you are not logged into the site you can not view past step 1.

Yeah i don't want to beat it to death. What I would do if I was the software developer is once it is flagged for spam it remains in that state until a human clears it, thus negating the scenario you mention.

I would not tell my users something unless it was accurate.

I'm not trying to crawl up on a high horse or anything. I'm a software developer by trade so i know how much effort goes into these things.

I also take my blog and facebook community VERY seriously (as you can tell..LOL) So posting bad links is not something they expect from me.

Th issue you're having is not normal, it's a bug or glitch.

Normally, if a project gets caught in the filters, the direct link still works as normal (see Jayefuu's comment about caching).

Super annoying. If your not logged in it's still all kinds of screwed up

Only about half the steps work. The others send you to a "this project can't be found" page

The "allsteps" link is broken

The PDF download link is broken whether logged in or not logged in

I went and posted to my blog and social media AGAIN that it was fixed and they could view it.

Now again I'm getting emails 'Hey step 3 doesn't work dude" etc

Argh...

In this case it's the caching server hasn't caught up yet. Logged in users are served the most up to date content, users that aren't logged in are served from a caching server. Normally this process is invisible/hard to notice, they should update soon.

DARNIT!! I spoke too soon. If you are not logged in you can not view beyond step 1
