Reset password not working

I recently received a temp password for my account, and now that I am logged in and trying to change it to a new one of my own, I am running into a problem.
When I enter the temp pass in the 'old password' window one, I get an error message saying "wrong password"

I know the temp passes are often limited in functionality to a short time window, so am hoping for a rapid reply & help on this problem.

The password is case sensitive, so make sure you haven't accidentally left Caps Lock on, or (if your password has an "a" in it) that you are not accidentally hitting it as you type.

Would not have bothered you if I had not checked and double checked the references you link is not working properly please advise me when it is fixed. I have seen the other recent comments as well and realized that I am not the only one with this issue.

Poor typing and poor memory are, by far, the greatest proportion of log-in problems, so best to eliminate the obvious first.

Other things to check are that your computer is not automatically inserting text into the password box as you type, and that any browser add-ons you may have are not interfering with the process.

Clear you cache, tell your browser to forget passwords, switch off any ad-blockers or script-modifiers and then reload the oage

Your best bet is to email service@instructables.com - include your user name as well.

Thanks.
I took a stab and tried inputting my new preferred password in all 3 fields.
Somehow that worked.
I'll keep the email address for future, tho.
