Rest in Peace Connecticut Shooting Victims
Recently there has been a tragic event in Connecticut, USA. At a small elementary school in New Town, Connecticut there was a shooting. Most people in the USA have probably heard of this already. I wanted people outside of the USA to know and I wanted to bring my thoughts to the victims. Twenty children between the ages of five and ten were killed along with six adults. These were amazing children and brave adults protecting their students. I don't just want the world to mourn over this. I want something to be done. There should be security guard at every school. It was so easy for someone to come into this school and cause this tragic event. These kids had a life ahead of them. My deepest thoughts go to the families of the victims, the friends of the victims, the survivors of the massacre, and most importantly, those twenty children. This event should get America thinking. If you know a mentally ill person you have to do something about it. If you think that your school is dangerous, bring up the thought of having security guard on duty. Anything to stop this from happening again. I also give praise to the police men and women that desprettly tried to save these peoples' lives. I go to a small, close school and this got me thinking. What if this happened at my school. I know it could and I will not ignore this anymore. I am going to take a step forward and get a group of people to go to our superintendent and try to get them to hire security guards. These many people are in my hearts even though I didn't know them. I don't have to to want to hold these kids close to my heart. I challenge you to do something. Get security guards at your school or just hug children. Hug children, spend time with them, and don't let them out of your sight. Don't let this happen again. And most importantly, Rest in Peace to all the victims of this terrible massacre.
