Search banner placement is a pain

ever since instructables updated their website about 3 months ago (i'm guessing) their has been a search banner at the bottom of the screen that has been in the way. Here is a screen shot. This says it all. I was trying to read a comment in this picture but the search banner was in the way. Does anyone know hoow I could fix this?

NOTE: I'm using IE8.

This site is geared toward Firefox users and that is what is recommended. I know it sometimes doesn't display right on lower resolutions and IE9beta is out so it might fix that. Otherwise try Firefox or Chrome, seems to work for me. Have that loaded up to use as an alternative and switch back to IE for those apps that only work in IE. Good luck.
