Site suggestion - Build Tracking


I was thinking that it would be beneficial to be able to keep a list of other peoples Instructables that I have built.  Sometimes I forget what all I have made and like to look back over them.  Since I have built projects using existing Instructables I don't want to duplicate them by writing up my own of the same thing. 

It would be neat if there was a "I've built this" button or check box on each instructable, maybe in the comments section or something.  Then not only could I look in my profile and see what I've made, but could look at an instructable and see who/or how many people have made it.  As an author it would be cool to see that someone has successfully built something I came up with.

I like the idea for the location of the check box/button! The pictures are really helpful.

:-D The picture is awesome. You might consider sending it (or rather, the link to it) as an e-mail directly to the "Customer Service" address at the bottom of every page. The code monkeys don't always notice forum topics, but that e-mail will get forwarded appropriately, and it might even get added to the "to do" list.

along the same lines, we need to have a button, "You can't build this" to answer the many "What can I do with the LCD display panel out of a broken computer monitor or other electronic device", perpetual motion machines, travelling faster than the speed of light, time travel machine...maybe not the last one.
