So apparently...
After taking a devastating kick to the throat CO my little nephew (yeah, he's gonna be quite the Steven Seagal), my voice pitch has increased about an octave and my NY accent is totally gone (not that I'm going to miss it). My sister says it's temporary, but I can only hope. This happened Thursday of last week, and there's barely any improvement. If anyone else has taken a blow like this, please tell me about your experiences and the result.
Thanks,

Man, did you see or ask any medical professional about it? Any external bruising? Crushed windpipe or larynx ain't good. They might have to put you under to stick a scope down your throat.
Oh, by the way, it's either foo-gedda-bahdid or fa-gyetta-bottit. I've never heard fugeddaboudit. :P
Thanks again.
Maybe the doc can just reach down there and pull up your misplaced vocal cords.
Well, my voice is almost back to normal (and look, two days, just like my sister said), but that sore throat feeling is still there. The bruise is gone, for the most part. I hope the possibility of needing surgery is eliminated. But I'll stop worrying when my voice is completely back to normal. All this caused by a passive-aggressive kid. :P Thanks for your help.
