Some really great ideas that would make good Instructables projects

I came across this site the other day and thought there were some fantastic projects (like a band saw made from plumbing pipe) that would make for great Instructables. I've personally been thinking about a lathe to go with my new mini mill....

You can try looking at Burning questions contests for the ideas.

And once you've kitted yourself out with all these great tools, have a look here for some workshop practise 101, courtesy of MIT!Workshop knowhow
Ok not the most riveting ( not covered riveting yet ) delivery but the content's all good stuff.

I think other people have highlighted that site recently. Doesn't stop it being good, though.

Oops- I guess I should check the forums first.... I had a similar site bookmarked but I can't seem to find it. It had a ton of projects for building tools out of everyday items. I remember seeing a multi page guide for building an entire machining center out of old car engine blocks that was really great.
