Standers
Has anyone in this group attempted to build a better stander, I will be embarking on this, in hopes on replicating a supine/prone stander out of older stander parts, hope someone might have some insight?

I presume a "stander" is some sort of device to help somebody stand?

yes such as in leckey, r82, rifton, altimate medical
already completed stander, I used a old theradapt plywood stander(prone) and took a 3" diameter carpet roll(hard cardboard) wrapped it in some vinyl fabric, washable mounted it to the slots and wha-la a bolster stander!
I have another question regarding segway balence project.. I have gone through the large variety of self balence projects including the sci chair and mit as well as that other guy. anyway my question is I have many, many wheel chair parts, controllers motors joysticks new old etc.. non of which any of the other projects had so my question regards, ho to add the accelerometer and code to the existing hardware?

You should try and get in touch with XenonJohn - he built two different self-balancing skateboards, full of all the stuff you're talking about, and if I recall correctly he has medical knowledge.

I have some of those already in my library, as I lgive them out for free just as a librarian would, but when the need arises i need to make what is not available and therefore makes me a librarian that also makes stuff!
