The Best of Instructables Has Arrived
My copy of Best of Instructables Book just arrived! All work here at Instructables HQ has essentially stopped, so if the servers go down, send me an email or something...
The book is softcover and the same format as Make Magazine, except around twice the thickness.
There's also a thank-you page listing projects and photos that were submitted to the book, but were cut due to space limitations. Sorry we couldn't fit everyone in, but we still wanted to give you a shout-out. Maybe you'll appear in the next volume?

Hahaha, that happened to me last week. Not that the knitting book was bad - it's actually quite lovely... I just really want the Instructabook!

That's exactly what I think! Except for the bleedin' part. Weird British slang...must remember not to use any nouns, vowels, verbs or idioms when I go there...
I may grow old waiting for it...and Kiteman...poor Kiteman...he might as well just will the book to #1 and 2 sons, 'cause he'll be long gone by the time it gets to England...

. You should read the intro to the Science section. The guy that wrote it did a great job.
. Depends on how long long is. A full page with generous margins.
. The whole book is very good. I translated to paper much better than I thought it would.

Wow, it's arrived, I can't wait until it arrives at my door, I really want to see it... Plus after some talking to the teacher I can pretty much fill a unit of my media course with 'ibles stuff, the book being a finishing touch, granted the contest had to be put as if it was a proposal to yourselves...

That's not to say that we have a population of boozing toddlers, but it means that, in a well-run family, children grow up treating alcohol with respect, rather than a guilty pleasure they steal from their parents' drinks cabinet.

Not all of us over here in the US are out to steal from mom and dad's liquor cabinet. :P Though my friend told me Italians are essentially the same way - She's said. everyone has wine with dinner.. even if you have to have it in a bottle. haha! I think it's kind of a good thing to teach them about it - Should lead them to better decisions later in life.
I wasn't meaning the US particularly, but if a child is told no, you're too young to drink, they will be more likely to try drinking alone, or with "unsuitable" friends, and be unable to learn the proper self-control associated with healthy drinking.

In the UK, children can drink at five. At five years of age, English children are allowed to consume spirits. It is legal to consume alcoholic beverages at five years old in Great Britain. No matter how I say it, I can't wrap my mind around it...

#1 son quite likes the taste of fruit wines, but #2 son is very much a bitter man, which is unusual in one so young. Both boys like a drop of proper shandy, which they get on holidays only.

lol I'm more partial to a little port at christmas but to be honest I'm pretty much tea total, my sister at the tender age of 14 has a taste for a robust red. My parents always let us try a bit of wine with a meal, but drinking alcohol doesn't necessarily mean boozing :P
I suppose there's not much use for the term "Under age drinking" any more.

Well firstly the rest of the world is not use to Internet censorship, such as during the olympics. Normally if censorship occurs there needs to be some sort of legal reason as to why. I am under the assumption from what was portrayed in the media, that a few if not more sites were removed due to their content.

That is not through any 'syndicated news' center. This is reported by those that actually are in the know. But I don't want to burst your bubble nor make you believe that the world is not a fairy tale dream; believe as you wish :-) I like reality myself

In other words, the article said certain portions of information, are viewable, except to residents of China. They were their and I know of them to be reliable sources. If you did not try to access that specific information mentioned, that everyone else in the world can, but they can not, you didn't try it. That is all I am saying.....I am not trying to argue. | do trust my non-syndicated sources however.
