Turret based knex guns

It seems that out of the blue there are like 5 new turret based guns here and or on KI. Does anyone know why? I know turret based guns are reliable and powerful, but other than that I don't see why everyone is suddenly so interested.

Maybe it is because of KillerK's BR-18, he showed that apart from slingshots turret guns can also support fin ammo.

They've just been tweaking a basic gun. I'll tell you why they are popular, they are incredible. Reliable, powerful, simple... Nothing not to like!

Three of the Br-v1? Or 3 different turret based guns? Does the Br-v1 have the massive range and power KillerK claims?

Br-v1, K-sayer and Br-18. I dont know about his ranges, but I am getting 120 feet with two elastics.

Cool, sorry I'm asking a ton of questions, but: Does the BR-18 get the same ranges the BR-v1 does?

Prettywell, its the same gun, just a larger turret.

im posting pics on Sunday of my completed BR18 and the body design for my version of the BR36 my turret guns r simple and the ability to use RR ammo (red rod w/ angled fins) makes them extremely accurate and achieve crazy ranges the turret loads rods swiftly and acts as a single shot weapon anyway long story short they r reliable long range and have a good rate of fire hard to beat really
