UK Charity needs the help of Makers (link to Community Blog topic)
A few weeks ago, Kiteman posted this thread to the Community Blog forum. I am hoping that the thread can be moved over to the AT Group, but in the mean time I'm linking to it. If you are interested in assistive technology and in the UK, please consider contacting Remap.

Sorry? Do you mean a member of the Community Blog forum? It doesn't appear to have a "Join" link/action, the way Groups do. I am (trivially :-) a member of this AT Group, since I'm its creator (cue organ music..."It's Alive! Alive!"). Or did you mean a member of Remap? I'm in California, so it wouldn't be very practical for me to join them. At the same time, I can at least contribute by publicising their existence. BTW, did I interpret your reply under the original thread correctly, that you would be okay with your topic moving over to the AT Group? I've been trying to move forward (with the help of NachoMahma) believing that was true. Please let me know if I'm out of line.

Ah! No, I'm eager to promote disability rights, accessibility, and independent living.
Although I don't have a disability myself, I have been a fan of proper Universal Design since I was an undergraduate. My wife is currently Director of the California State Independent Living Council, so I take this stuff kind of seriously :-)
Besides, I like making things, and making thing that other people can actually use is even more fun!
