UK Mini Maker Faire - The Derby Silk Mill - New Poster to Share!
Seems that the folks at Nottingham Hackspace (Nottinghack) and some new folks called Derby Makers are putting on a Mini Maker Faire bang in the middle of the UK, on Sunday the 3rd of June. We've just put up some cash to help things along and will be attending. Who's with us?
The Mini Maker will be held at the Silk Mill, which is reputed to be oldest factory in the UK, and up until recently was an industrial museum. It's still part of the museums trust and has some fantastic exhibits inside (Rolls Royce Merlin engine is my favourite!) which will be nestled alongside all manner of makers.
So are you coming? If not why not?

Just to let you know that as the Community Team member closest to Derby, I will be representing Instructables at the Derby Mini Maker Faire.
I will have my big painted Instrutables robots, and more stickers than I know what to do with.
So do come on down and say hello.
I'll try & post over the weekend if there's access to wifi, even if it's only a tweet or two (watch @KitemanX), but otherwise I'll post photos on Monday.
If you're going, come and see us on the Instructables stand, we'll have Robot stickers, and even (a few) actual fabric patches for special people...

this comment will self-destruct after reading.
Basically if any of the inner sanctum/Community Team want to join me, I have space for a few extra people.
Plus you remember how busy it was at the Maker Faire in Newcastle, and there was nigh 8 of us there.
All we need now are tickets for the event...
Obviously the more awesome projects we have the better.
(I am a member of Nottingham Hackspace so can show you around etc)
