UK Steampunk Convivium at the Asylum
This weekend 11-13th Sept is the first all-UK Steampunk Convivium at the (former) Lunatic Asylum in Lincoln. I shall be there with some items that have found favour on Instructables, such as my steampunk goggles and flying helmet, but also loads of other makes that I never have time to do instructables for.
The weekend is partially ticketed and partially public but we are all going to have the most brilliant fun. Any other Instructablers going?

Lincoln is near me, any links? Also whats ticketed whats not? Would I be arrested for having steampunk weapons?

i dont think they are selling tickets anymore but perhaps daytickets can be had. I think the sunday stuff is more public.
Dress code requires weapons to be in bags or boxes when in public streets and may not be worn at all at the empire ball.

No can do I'm afraid, existing arrangements. Pretty long trip for you though, M6 or A1? L
We are going by locomotive since I have never mastered the infernal combustion engine. Long journey predominantly made up of waiting between trains. Had to extract son from school early in order to arrive in reasonable time. I expect to see some spectacular makes.

I assume the thread you mean must be on Brassgoggles which is the main place for steampunkers globally. Loads of delightful contraptions expected to be there. I am sure thre will be loads of pictures there and flickr etc next week
