I gotta get one of these for maths!

Hmm, too expensive for me:  I got one with 42 functions for $8 (I remember when the first ones came out with 4 functions: add, subtract, multiply, and divide and they were like $200 or more).

I bought a pen and a notepad for $3. Beats all of your calculators!

Meh, they give them out free now (the 4 function ones) if you visit certain companies LOL

Awesome, I should do some research...

I never seen : used as division... I only seen ÷, / and the other one I can't make properly with a few keywords.

Oh I bet you've seen the others here too: http://mathforum.org/library/drmath/view/58409.html

According to:   http://searchdatacenter.techtarget.com/sDefinition/0,,sid80_gci803019,00.html
the :  sign means:
: Colon,
ratio sign
... is to ...
... such that ...
... it is true that ...
Division or ratio,
symbol following
logical quantifier or
used in defining a set
2:4 = 20:40

x : x > 4 and x < 5

x : x < 0 or x > -1

S = {x : x < 3}

I assume the button next to the multiplication button is division? (I never saw a division sign like that)
Weird... it's commonly used in Europe.

We actually started with "/" and then in highschool you work with ":"

Well, I don't think there is one in the printable "ASCII" code table, is there?  The dash with a dot above and below it.
