This forum is dedicated to the development of vehicles to be used in water warfare. Pedal-powered, moter powered, or engine driven, this topic talks about the construction/design of them as well as protecting it from the enemy and arming it with your very own personal water weapons.

Good plan.... Pedal powered vehicles require a lot of energy from the driver (or whoever is pedaling) to make the vehicle move. The more weight you have, the harder it is to pedal. Electric vehicles are great, because to power is required from the driver. One way to make it even better would be to use solar panels to recharge the batteries! But, a small gas engine might be your best option. If you decide to use the engine from a small lawn mower or something, remember to keep the water off of it! Happy soaking!

Here's a "tank" that I made on Google SketchUp- It seats six people (probably too many) and has three doors. The door in the back has a hole cut in it that allows a PVC cannon to be mounted in the rear for the tail gunner to operate. I suppose the design could have a turret on top and possibly move three people (instead of six)........

This go-cart holds six people when it should only hold 3-4. If 4, you could have two side gunners. If 3, you could have an elevated seat with a rotating turret on top of the cart.

Gatling gun........I like it, but what size balloons will this thing fire? (the smaller the better, but the smaller, the harder they are to make)..........This would be an excellent idea for paintball!

Right now, I'm working on designing an upright (steerable) pedal-powered legway (pedway). There's going to be a plexiglass shield in front of it (maybe even a wooden or metal door in the back-THAT would be crazy!), headlights, a storage bin, a hole for shooting through, and I might want to consider an umbrella or a roof to protect against airborne water balloons. 3D model soon.

Also, there was an (awesome) instructable on how to build a "SteamRoller". This could make an AWESOME water war tank!! The technology has improved to where one person can ride it, and steer it, but it might be better to have two people (for comfort in battle). I might design one of these that is fit for water wars, and post pics soon.
