Virtual Patch List
We've recently started to give out virtual patches to reward users for the cool things you all do. The list is short for now, but it will grow. Check out the patches that exist so far and feel free to give us suggestions for new ones!

Ever new user on instructables gets a welcome patch? and for lets say 10/25/50/100/150/200+ instructables you get a Dedicated member patches?
Contest finalists get finalist patches?
If more than lets say 200 comments on your instructables give them a popular patch?
Got more than 3 or 4 featured instructables give them a feature population patch?
If an instructable gets featured on the front page you give them a 3 month membership why not give them a patch with it!
The names are just random guesses you can make way better names than that but it would be really awesome if we got patches for the above!

i agree with the finalist patchs, I was a finalist twice and I got nothing, I would atleast like to have a patch.

As I got older, I got an automatic "patch" on the top of my head :-D
Or an anti-patch, the patch of hair that was there magically disappeared :)

Finalist patch. I think the finalist tag on the main pic of Instructables are removed now. A patch for that will give recognition that you ALMOST won (hey, better than nothing).

Feature team patch? Intern patch? "Powers that Be" patch? "Visited Squidlabs" patch?
Feature Creep patch? Oh wait, you said Feature team sorry ;-)
Or maybe by the mind that hasn't enough to keep it occupied well ? :-)

I got a 400 landing patch on my FSX pilot records page,along with 200 total hours.
take out the 200 part, as the guy with the most ibles needs more than 30 to get to 200...

Actually it would go past 200 at increments of 100 until it reaches 1000 when it would go by increments of 500, but obviously those badges would not be used muchif at all.

Yeah, I will have to remember to take my camera (in case I ever get to go somewhere cool LOL).
Easter is on the horizon - how about a "Good Egg" patch, nominated anonymously by other iblers?

No, that would be a patch for people with two Ph.Ds (or a Ph.D. and an M.D.).
My oldest son got his PHD last week......... (Post Hole Digger). I've had my PHD (Pile it Higher and Deeper), for 20 years.
I take it burning questions and newletter patches will be on back order for a while...

Its a very short contest, sometimes lasting a week at the most. The staff presents a picture, and the community has to come up with something to say about it. Don't worry, I've missed a few also.
There should be one for a certan number of instructables uploaded by one person. Like 10 ibles!, 25 ibles!, and 50 ibles!
We need a patch for chatroom mods, a sign of hardwork they put in, i don't need one, but my volenteers should.

I've just thought - how about a subcontest within contests, to design the patch that gets awarded for that contest? No prize, except a special patchmaker's patch, maybe a background like woven fabric with a small version of the patch in the middle.
The hard part is making it work when it's 48x48
If I get bored I might have a few ideas, I used to do some pixelart...
Also I'm in the process of making all the buttons for a site I'm working on...
For something like a patchmaker's patch, it would be something a little different. Like a needle and thread. That would work a lot better.
A bunch more have been added for older contests, but aren't on this list yet. I'll update it on Monday.
