Walking globe- how to make your own??

I'm looking to make my own walking Globe; a big ball used to balance on top of or walk around and preform circus tricks, I'd like to make it myself. Any ideas or plans for how to go about making a large sphere(32-54') that can support about 130 pds. Right now my best option is wood, but im sure a community of creative minds can come up with atleast a few more options. plz help any thought or ideas?

I've also considered a bunch or cardboard(like alot) glue together and then shaped into a ball and wrapped in ducktape..?
Rubberband ball?

the bigger the better or atleast easier to practice on.

The main goal is to not spend more than $100 in making this thing :D

If the fitness ball was inside a cloth ball, maybe it could take more pressure than it is originally rated for.
Have you tried using a fitness ball? At the very least it can be used as a base for building up a stronger ball. Be it filled with or surrounded by a stronger and stiffer material.

That could work, but filled or surrounded with what do ya think? when its all said and done the walking globe has to be evenly waited so it can roll and strong enough to hold me without out any give. A fitness ball would give me the right shape but unless I can reinforce it, my guess is that it would be far to wobbly. The walking globe I tried was rock hard and like 60lbs(guess, idk didn't pick it up)
It won't be cheap but i'd cut a small hole in the ball and fill it with expanding foam insulation. It will fill the entire ball and set up strong enough to easily support the weight. Not to mention the rubber of the ball itself will give you a good surface to work with.
Expanding foam insulation needs moisture from the air to cure. There are 2 part foams, however.

Thats A great idea! That stuff expands alot though right? would the ball membrane be enough to keep sphere shaped? How would i go about keeping it from turning into a an odd shape?
Maybe wrapping it it duck tape then deflating it and then filling it with the foam insulation?
either way, very creative idea, thanks heaps!
I'm sure there is a chance it could overfill and stretch the ball. So fully inflating the ball, wrapping it in a few layers of duct tape would probably be a good idea. Personally i would fill the ball in layers. By the time you reach the end you'll have a good idea of how much it will expand also the last layer will be allowed to expand out of the hole so it wouldn't stretch out the ball.
