Webcam from digital camera

I have an old jamcam digital camera. (version 1)

I know that it doesnt work with window xp, but I do have an old computer that runs windows 98.
Is there any possible way to use this camera as a webcam?

 I think you would have to write a "driver" program to interpret what the camera is encoding the pictures as in data format.  The other hurdle is to get the data from the camera to the computer.  I doubt there is a USB connection, maybe a serial port if any?  Low-res webcams that work with Win XP are super cheap nowadays but still more fun if you can hack one,  Good luck.
