Weirdest thing you have ever bought off of Ebay or Craigslist etc.

I ask this question because I bought a dog off Craigslist, which was the weirdest thing I have ever bought online. Post yours.

A 1978 Goldwing motorcycle. 45 "Somewhat used" electric R/C airplanes. A fake Tiffany "Turtleback" lamp. My wife's 120-year-old Platinum and Ruby engagement ring (we had it appraised at 4x what I paid for it). 25 pounds of Potassium Nitrate and 20 pounds of powdered Sulfur. 150 pounds of magnesium plate for $23, plus I had to drive 1 1/2 hrs to pick it up. A Big Trak with Transporter trailer, which was working until UPS CRUSHED THE BOX and broke it! (I resold it for parts) Weird things I've sold on Ebay- Two MSA firefighting SCBA (Air Packs) A 1995 Chevy Astro Van with wrecked steering (the buyer didn't pick it up). 1987 Honda VF500 Interceptor front fairing. 22 embossed "Rolling Rock Beer" advertising signs that I found in the trash (and sold for $340). 14 iPods that I bought on Ebay, Broken, repaired them, and "ReBayed" them. (I made up that term a few years ago- to ReBay is to buy something on eBay, then resell it on eBay for more than the purchase price.) That's only a fraction....

A CD. Because that's the only thing I've ever bought off the internet.

I got an Ocarina and a unicycle from ebay, and a didgeridoo from amazon.
Thornburg (author) in reply to WeissensteinburgJul 24, 2008. 9:18 PM
Haha, are you any good at unicycling
Weissensteinburg in reply to ThornburgJul 24, 2008. 9:26 PM
It's been a while since i've ridden last, but i'm OK. Nothing fancy, but I can ride it.
Sunbanks in reply to WeissensteinburgJul 24, 2008. 4:01 PM
I've been looking at unicycles on ebay lately... I wanna get one.
bumpus in reply to SunbanksJul 24, 2008. 7:19 PM
I'll sell you one for $35.
Sunbanks in reply to bumpusJul 24, 2008. 8:02 PM
Hmmm.....
Weissensteinburg in reply to SunbanksJul 24, 2008. 6:20 PM
I 100% recommend it.
bumpus in reply to WeissensteinburgJul 24, 2008. 7:18 PM

I didn't buy this online (I bought it in an oddity store), but it's the weirdest thing I've ever bought. A jar with a preserved shark floating in it.

That is pretty strange.
Spl1nt3rC3ll in reply to ThornburgJul 24, 2008. 9:22 PM
Yep. Now I just need to replace the cheap foam base with a nice wooden one.

There's a pets section off craigslist, how is that weird?
Thornburg (author) in reply to GorillazMikoJul 23, 2008. 3:01 PM
I don't know, it just sounds different. You don't normaly buy animals off the Internet.
GorillazMiko in reply to ThornburgJul 23, 2008. 3:17 PM
If it got shipped to your house, then that is pretty strange.
Thornburg (author) in reply to GorillazMikoJul 24, 2008. 11:31 AM
They kinda did, they dropped her off at my house.
Thornburg (author) in reply to ThornburgJul 24, 2008. 11:31 AM
But not like UPS or anything.
GorillazMiko in reply to ThornburgJul 24, 2008. 11:55 AM
LOL. Yeah, duh, of course, hahaha. Hmm, it's not that weird, they probably just are moving and they can't bring the dog or something, it's not really that weird.
Thornburg (author) in reply to GorillazMikoJul 24, 2008. 9:20 PM
Lost it because of foreclosure, close enough.
Kiteman says: Jul 24, 2008. 12:25 PM
Is a five-inch parabolic mirror "weird"?
Thornburg (author) in reply to KitemanJul 24, 2008. 9:17 PM
Kinda.
bumpus in reply to KitemanJul 24, 2008. 1:19 PM
I bought a 8" one... "I don't have a problem!"
Kiteman in reply to bumpusJul 24, 2008. 2:49 PM
What do you use it for? I haven't had much Sun to try mine for burning yet.
bumpus in reply to KitemanJul 24, 2008. 2:55 PM
Thats exactly what I used it for, then Mr. Parabolic Mirror met Mr. Sidewalk... :(
Kiteman in reply to bumpusJul 24, 2008. 3:02 PM
And all the King's glaziers,
And all the King's opticians
Couldn't put Mr Mirror back together again...

:-(
bumpus in reply to KitemanJul 24, 2008. 3:08 PM
'Tis a sad story...
