What Glue sticks to Polyethylene plastic?
I understand they make glue bottles out of polyethylene plastic for a good reason -- glues tend to not stick to it. I need to stick some polyethylene together and none of my glues stick well. Acetone won't dissolve it to fuse it.
Does anybody know of a glue that does stick to polyethylene?

. Heat and pressure. When PE pipe for natural gas, water, &c is welded, it is heated and then rammed together so it is fused.
That won't work on my project, but thanks for the feedback. A little Google searching (should have done that first), says that 3M has a new adhesive for polyethylene. Nothing I will find locally, I'm sure, but at least I know who to contact.

I didn't pursue it very far. I just found this thread of comments that mentioned the 3M products. I'm exploring alternative solutions to my problem and I probably won't be needing the product any more. It wouldn't be a bad can of stuff to have in one's bag of tricks, though.

If Polyethylene is like PVC you can use PVC glue, it sort of melts the plastic a bit and it really works - for PVC anyway. It is sold in little cans with a dabber inside.
. Unfortunately, polyolefins (polyethylene, polypropylene, polytetrafluoroethylene (Teflon), &c) are nothing like PVC. :(
