All the crapy rappers and Justin Bieber.
Music is something that used to be collectable, now its disposable. I hate anything that sounds like it is sung by a constipated pubescent robot.

Sorry, I don't get it... Any band I like? REM? Zeppelin? Beatles? Metallica? Violent Femmes? - Are all the bands I like really all THAT bad?
you can't hate the beatles and zepplin. it just isn't right.
skunkbait (author)  knoxarama8 years ago
hahaha, didn't notice your post Skunkbait..so
double agreed!
This is what he means
*crosses Violent Femmes Fan off Endangered Species List*

Oh Yeah!
. Yep. That's what happens when you get old. You listen to Golden Moldies now. Don't cha know?
. Eff them punk kids! Rock And Roll Ain't Noise Pollution. Rock and Roll Ain't Gonna Die!

. Those Aussies may be a bunch of kangaroo slaughtering wackos, but they sure can rock their donkeys off. <snicker>
skunkbait (author)  NachoMahma8 years ago
Nacho, can you relate?:

. OMG! Major flashback.
. "AM Radio" - my favorite was [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WLS_(AM) WLS] with Larry Lujack in the morning.
skunkbait (author)  NachoMahma8 years ago
;-( Moldy Oldies? That stuff wasn't even Classic Rock when I was listening to it! BTW- When I was 16, I had a job at McD.s. All we had was an 8-track player in the back, which we cranked up after hours. I bet I listened to Back In Black 1000 (seriously) times .

Well, I figure it's not specifically aimed at anyone, but in my experience people very rarely have a matching music taste. So it's more saying, music tastes are different.
fire the three of them
Doubled, tripled and even quadripled. I agree with you.
soulja boy is a good rapper.
almost anything modern..especially "teen" singers and bands.....
resmoplus6 years ago
Super Junior, SHINee, Big Bang, 2ne1, SNSD, Wonder Girls, Sistar19, and all those manufactured Korean pop music.
I disagree I think that SNSD have actual talent, Super Junior on the other hand... Well I would have to say I agree with you about them...

Justin Bieber, need i say more?

Any rappers
Any women aho are barely covered on stage.
Any aongs that are about terrible things
Any singers who lip sing at concerts
Any singers who have no talent and everything is special effects
Almost anyone after 1989
+infinity. I couldn't agree more, auto tuning ruins music, if you every hear anyone live (mostly Ke$ha & Nicky Minaj) it sounds terrible. how does this happen?
I know isn't it awfull. I haven't heard a ton of newer music but what I have heard is just so blah. It doesn't even sound real. I think the best way to test if a song is good is to listen to a live recording of it. A great song will sound just as good live with one singer some drums and a guitar as it does in a studio recording. In a way I prefer rock songs that have just a couple guitars a lead singer and a drum kit instead of a whole ten member band.
the second, third and fourth are the worst aside from that.

Disney bands/artists (Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana, Jonas Brothers, etc.) and Naked Brothers Band (Nickelodeon) GOOD bands (IMO): (First and foremost, Weird Al Yankovic is GOD.) Metallica (Enter The Sandman FTW) Blink 182 (Fav) Fall Out Boy (Second fav) Panic! At The Disco The Beatles Three Days Grace (Third fav) Led Zeppelin Akon Lee Brotherton Rolling Stones GOOD Foreign Bands: Orange Lounge (Japan) SPLAY (Japan) Pee Wee Gaskins (Indonesian)
What do you mean by "Foreign Bands" - non-English-language? L
Yup. Orange Lounge is a Japanese band, SPLAY is a Japanese band, and Pee Wee Gaskins is an Indonesian band, although they're very fluent at English and 80% of their songs are in English.
Oh and here's another awesome band: Nirvana. Seriously. Nirvana FTW!
Where to start, where to start...

Every rapper
Every country band/singer
Every band that only plays songs from other bands
Almost every band from this decade
Miley Cryus(Not Hannah Montanna because she's the same #@!$&# person with a #@!$&# wig! Gah!)
The Jonas Brothers
The naked brothers band
Bands that every other verse in every song is the same
Bands that think they're all that, wait... I already said Miley Cryus and the Jonas Brothers.
Bands that think rock and roll is evil(and people who think the same thing)
Bands that lip sync
Boy bands(goes under the catagory of bands who lip sync)
Hippie bands
Bands that have like, four back up singers and eight back up dancers
Bands that act like they're the coolest band ever, and anyone who doesn't dress like them, or like there music is *anti-social and a fashion reject*
Bands that are aren't who they say they are (Surprisinly, not the Jonas brothers, they really do suck)
There is most likely a lot more that I don't even know about...

Do I win for longest rant comment?
I agree with most of that, except for the hippie bands :P
skunkbait (author)  Rock Soldier8 years ago
I agree with your list 90%. All Pop-country is crap, but you need to check out some of the older (and newer) outlaw country. Go to youtube and check out Hank III ( Crazed Country Rebel), Johnny Cash (Cocaine Blues), Old Crow Medicine Show (Tell it to Me), and David Allen Coe (If that Ain't Country).
skunkbait (author) 8 years ago
I forgot: Kenny G, Micheal Bolton, and (the princess of darkness) Celine Dion. Tunes from those three should be pumped into caves all over Afganistan, to root out Bin Laden. Although we'd never get to question him, as he'd kill himself pretty early on.
I like Celine Dion!
Not to mention she's hot
I'm finding your taste in women highly questionable, mister. :P
Questionable tastes in women? YOU ASKED FOR IT
Och well, Dion doesn't make my Top 5 Hottest Celebrities, but three other singers do...
Top 5 Hottest Celebrities:
1: Hayley Westenra
2: Kirsty Mitchell
3: Orla Fallon
4: Summer Glau
5: Either Lisa Kelly or Jewel Staite

Know any good sites?
Are your eyes broken? She reminds me of a skeleton with hair.
She reminds me of number 1 on the list below....
skunkbait (author)  KentsOkay8 years ago
Kinda like the Spice GIrls. Just turn off the volume and watch!
I don't really like the spice girls, either way.
Kenny G! Michael Bolton! Celine Dion (mostly)! Those are the worst!
Doctor What8 years ago
Blink 182 Good Charlotte Ashlee Simpson Nick Lachey
Blink 182 is awesome. The rest I agree.
skunkbait (author)  Doctor What8 years ago
No arguement with those, except I think Blink 182's OK, if you don't take them seriously.

nickelback is just terrible! I will sit in the car in silence before i hear his terrible terrible voice! uch! it just makes me angry >=|
he sounds like a meth addict that smoked kool menthol cigarettes for 20 years. and he looks like a tool.
that's because he is a tool
skunkbait (author)  tarzioo8 years ago
I think you're giving him a little too much credit.
I think that everyone bashing NickelBack simply has TERRIBLE taste in music. I agree, it can get annoying. But it is a million times better than rap.
skunkbait (author)  CapnTac8 years ago
I essentially agree, but comparing Nickleback to rap is like comparing dried dog crap to wet dog crap.
tarzioo CapnTac8 years ago
. Repetitive after a while, but I like to hear an occasional Nickelback song. I even bought the "Silver Side Up" CD. No accounting for taste, huh?
worst kind of music is the music that barely has any artistic value at all
basically 50 cent and britney spears
Nickelback. I win. I can't believe no one mentioned them yet. Three Doors Down is right behind them, though. Mediocre "rock" is truly the worst thing in the world as far as music goes. It honestly makes me a little sick to my stomach.
skunkbait (author)  jessyratfink8 years ago
I agree about Nickelback. They aren't exactly "bad", but I don't see what all the fuss is about.
I honestly didn't know there was ever a fuss...
gmoon skunkbait8 years ago

Anybody who has ever been mentioned on disney channel, I absolutely hate the rolling stones, any "gangsta" rappers, and all country.
The Rolling Stones aren't bad, they're just not your taste. Anything coming out of Disney these days is bad - good point!

(Did you ever see the Pinky & the Brain episode - Bubba-Bo-Bob-Brain?)

Pinky and brain? Is that "before my time"?
well, how old are you? we must know your time to asses that.
Probably not, but then again...
This episode is somewhat unkind to Country music

That was pretty funny. Yeah I've never heard of Pinky and Brain before...
This was part of a Warner Bros revival. They created a show called "Animaniacs" Pinky and the Brain being about the only one that had potential of surviving. And Warner Bros stores did stock a lot of merchandise for a while. It's a bit sad when you consider that most of the best old-skool cartoons (Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig (?) Yosemtie Sam, Foghorn Leghorn, Roadrunner etc.) were Warner, and a lot of the crap ones that no one watches like M Mouse, Goofy etc are propping-up several; theme parks.... L
i have a disney death list: naked brothers band (god, what a horrible name): bomb in the bus jonas brothers (again... 'brothers'): slowly start to snipe them out one by one miley cyrus: mingle with the crowd, and pull out a magnum with a silencer if i missed any disney bands, just assume they'll be in an 'accident' later.
skunkbait (author)  ItsTheHobbs8 years ago
Hate the Stones???? Well, I'll admit they peaked by '70. Agree with the gangsta rap. I suspect you just haven't heard the right country. I liked most of the outlaw stuff, and there has been a lot of underground and alternative country over the years that's awesome, but the stuff that gets the airplay today...... ****gags***, ***gags again****, ****pukes****!!!!
JuCo skunkbait8 years ago
i concur... most people that listen to the radio have never heard country music before.

Blackout Band. They make me want to shoot my speakers when I hear them
Prince and Mariah Carey. Just shoot me now.
prince is the man! plus, you practically named yourself after one of his songs... (mostly joking... diff'rent strokes and all that)
skunkbait (author)  Lithium Rain8 years ago
Prince is talented, and Mariah was cute, but yeah- I still don't care for their music.
I did like Prince's song: When Doves Cry
skunkbait (author)  Goodhart8 years ago
A lot of Prince's tunes are rather infectious, but then again so coldsores.
Well, I like songs normally, rather then Artists. I like the song by reason of some connection made at the time I first heard it (first marriage).
skunkbait (author)  Goodhart8 years ago
That makes sense. There are some songs I like because of what I associate them with, even when I dislike the artist overall.
lemonie8 years ago
Some 'actors' from TV soaps can be overrated before they even open their mouths. UK soaps aside there was Craig McLachlan (Sons and Daughters, Neighbours and Home and Away) And Natalie Imbruglia can't sing properly (unless she's had lessons since last I heard her...) L
skunkbait (author)  lemonie8 years ago
What about Kylie Minogue??
I don't think Kylie is that much overrated. L
skunkbait (author)  lemonie8 years ago
I dunno. I greatly preferred her as an actress. Although her take on "The Locomotion" was quite infectious. But then again, so are the Measles.
Oh, and look up their album "Doolittle" even studio recording sucks.
LinuxH4x0r8 years ago
Most mainstream rap, hip hop and pop music. I like a lot of independent stuff, but mainstream junk is terrible.
Seconded. Radio plays what they want you to hear.
Yes we do.

The Beatles ... JOKE , my friends brothers band
skunkbait (author)  dombeef8 years ago
Don't even JOKE like that! Although George and Ringo's solo efforts have been pretty inconsistent. I did like George with the Travelling Wilburys, and Georges' duet with Buck Owens.
skunkbait (author)  skunkbait8 years ago
I meant Ringo with Buck Owens.
Yeah they have been. Which song do you like the best?
skunkbait (author)  dombeef8 years ago
Well, End of the Line probably got the most airplay, but for me it was probably Tweeter and the Monkey Man.
I mean which song from The Beatles do you like?
I really liked Eleanor Rigby
Me too
Mine is "I am the walrus"
skunkbait (author)  dombeef8 years ago
Ok, that's a tough one. Let me sleep on it. I'm thinking "Happiness is a Warm Gun" or "Nowhere Man", but that's a lot to think about.
I second Nowhere Man, love that song.
skunkbait (author)  whatsisface8 years ago
I think I've decided. I like most of their tunes, but at the moment, my favorite is.... (drum roll please).... "Everybody's Got Something to Hide Except Me and My Monkey".
I like that one also
Let It Be does it for me
skunkbait (author)  KentsOkay8 years ago
That's definitely one of the best.
The ruddy Crazy frog, aka the song killer.
Goodhart8 years ago
I never cared a lot for the Bee Gees either until I gained a bit of perspective through their rendition of, Turn Around

Goodhart8 years ago
I didn't care for anything I heard from the Sexpistols
skunkbait (author)  Goodhart8 years ago
Nooo! Say it's not so! I'll have to admit they weren't as tuneful as the Ramones. But if anger were canvas and confusion a brush: the Sex Pistols would be the Mona LIsa!
the day I heard them do their rendition of I Think I Love You was enough for me LOL
The single most utterly terrible artist in the history of the universe is........Rick Asley. Anyone who's ever gotten rickrolled will (or at least should) agree with me.
Doctor What8 years ago

Okay, so this song is awesome, but to the untrained ear, awful.
dombeef8 years ago
Miley Cyrus
journey I just don't like them
THEY DONT LIKE YOU! journey is 'mazing
NachoMahma8 years ago
Most Over-rated Band: Journey
. Not that they were ever bad, but it seems the worse their music got (IMNSHO, they peaked early), the more famous they became.
. But then, I like Townes Van Zandt, so what do I know?

I can't believe you stop believing...besides, Randy Jackson, the dawg is from there.
skunkbait (author)  NachoMahma8 years ago
I have to agree about Journey. They were reasonably talented, made a couple of decent songs, then descended into crap-rock. The worse they got, the more popular they got. Sad times.
Jonas Brothers. ;]
Lol. When something is awesome, we say that it's "tighter than Nick Jonas's pants."
NachoMahma8 years ago
. Bubblegum. "Yummy, yummy, yummy. I got love in my tummy."

skunkbait (author)  NachoMahma8 years ago
Would you prefer Donnie and Marie?
. When "Puppy Love" (I'll not even link to that one, much less embed it) came out, a friend of mine would substitute "pubic hair" for "puppy love." . "And they called it pubic ha-a-ir, just because we're in our teens." It worked! . Hilarious to a bunch of teenage boys.
skunkbait (author) 8 years ago
For me, it's pretty much any boy bands: Menudo, 98 Degrees, N-Sync, Marky Mark (and the funky bunch), New Kids. Followed by most rap, disco, and easy listening.
I presume you've seen Marky Mark in some of his new stuff? The Planet of the Apes remake was surprisingly good.
skunkbait (author)  kelseymh8 years ago
I need to see that. I think the last thing I saw him in was "Almost Famous".
