What to do with a UC3842B (HIGH PERFORMANCE CURRENT MODE PWM CONTROLLER)

I have dismantled a CRT monitor and I was wondering what I should with a UC3842B (HIGH PERFORMANCE CURRENT MODE PWM CONTROLLER) that was on the mains power side of the PCB.
Here's a link to the datasheet for it.

Any suggestions on what I should use it for and how to wire it up?
