Where to get microcontrollers in India?

Tonnes of instructables are based on microcontrollers, and i can't seem to find any. I can't get anything off of the internet, so that does no count. by the way, i live in india. And I will appreciate any help, just reply even if you think it would not be very helpful, it might just be.

Why can't you buy off the net? If the "normal sources" are closed to you, you'll need to find somebody abroad who can buy stuff for you and post it to you.

I am 14, and my mother won't start buying stuff off the net again. She did used to earlier.
In that case, use the net to find postal addresses, and then order by post - you should be able to pay with international money orders.

I understand what you want to say, but I doubt that I would be able to find anything on google. Just searching for "buy microcontrollers" would only result in e-commerce websites like e-bay or amazon. I know I might be sounding like a pain in the neck, but can you just find me a link or anything. I might be able to convince my mom, but then it all depends. She is not ready to give out her credit card number.
OK, here are some websites I trust:

Maybe it would help if you said which projects you were wanting to try - maybe even contact the project authors directly to find their suppliers (although lots of people do detail their suppliers if they parts are not common).

The bad thing about instructables is that you have an ultimate temptation to do all of the 'bles. I can't mention anyone as such. But yeah you are right, I could ask the author.
