Your tipe of Workshop.

What is your workshop intended for. Crafts, electronic, carpenters, welding, bike repairs... What is the thing you most like about your workshop, what would you like to have, like a 3D laser cutter... Where would you like it to be located, in the nature, in a house, building... What do you think is the most important tool you have.

. For working on cars, I use the garage. Enough room to comfortably park two cars, plenty of heavy-duty shelving, work bench with a small vise, &c. . Would like to have a press and a car lift. Lathe and milling machine would be nice, but I probably wouldn't use them much. . Prefer inside - for comfort and dust control. . Torque wrenches and vacuum guage. . . For working on computers, I use just about the whole house. Have parts scattered everywhere. Big desk with spare monitor, kybrd, mouse, Ethernet, &c where I work on other ppl's stuff located in the den. Two computers in one of the bedrooms that the neighborhood kids use for school work and web surfing. . Would like to get a hard disk analyzer. . Definitely in a climate controlled environ. . Ethernet connector crimp tool (the good ones are worth the money) and cable tester (amazing how often wires get swapped).

So, your tipe of workshop is for cars... cool! How about a laser cutter, to me that is a very very very cool thing to have, you can basicly make anything.
. Very cool, but not very practical for most car parts. Would be great for making brackets and such. A 3D CNC would be über-cool, but, like a lathe, I probably wouldn't use it enough to be worthwhile.

lol, yea for car parts not very useful but still...

my room is just a messy room with tools and hardware and shirts and other stuff scattered across the floor. i also sleep and use the computer here the attic is large space in which i do large projects the bath room is sometimes used as workstation for stuff that can catch fire - like battery charging (when impossible to do outside due to weather) or testing electronics i bring from trash i usually work sitting on the floor. dont like desks too much (only use for computer)
