anyone in the LA area interested in kitebuggying this weekend?
So, some friends and I have built two racing kitebuggies, a kite-powered hovercraft and sewn a couple kites. We're going out to the mojave desert this saturday to play with em. We'd like to get more people into building their own kites and various kite-powered vehicles, and if you're in the LA area, we'd love for you to come along. If you've never kitesurfed/buggied/etc before, no worries, we'll teach you. It's a lot of fun, and I hope you can make it.
We're going to El Mirage dry lakebed, about an hour and a half east of LA and meeting up there around 2pm saturday. map

Looks like it could be a blast. Sadly, I am on the "other" coast. Have someone record some of it if you can.
This is one of those times that I really wish I was in California! I looked at all of the pictures and it looks like you guys have a really good time out there. I need more down time in my life to do things like this!
