bloody batch file help lol

okay, so im into making little batch files etc. but one thing keeps on confusing me. whenever i check out a tutorial, it comes to destructive commands. so we get to DEL C:\ okay so that clearly wipes the c drive. but when trying the command on a victims pc. it always asks for confirmation! so whats the point in making the virus in the first place if the victim has to say yes to activate it?

wow lol....didn't realize how out of date these postings are...my bad.
I love blackhat topics, headline topic of this channel but I like the constructive one better so...lets get back to it. ;)

So if you want to make a "do you wanna continue?" command
For example:
set /p o=Do you want to continue? (Y/N) ^>
if %o%==Y "command if the victim says yes"
if %o%==N cls
You'd be better off using the I switch for the IF command.

It's not a virus, anyway ... it's just a stupid Batch file.
yeah, basis of any virus
Computer virus don't need a batch files as basis. It's batch files that is the basis of any lamer who wanna make virus.
what are nost viruses made out of? batch files, so shutup. and a harmful batch file is known as a virus stupid
what are nost viruses made out of? batch files ...

You're wrong.
It's most lamers' attempt to make a what they call "virus" that are made out of batch files. =o)

Technically, a virus is a program that spreads itself (duplication and "contamination") like would do a real biological virus.
If your batch file is just harmful, it's not a virus.
It's just a batch file with some "rename", "delete", "copy" or "format" commands.
Such "harmful" batch files are so simple and outdated, that I'm not even sure they could be called malware.

If someone ever made a real virus with a batch file (ie, something that duplicate and contaminate), it will only duplicate itself into ASCII files (ie, mainly .cfg, .bat, .ini files and other ASCII scripts ...).

Honestly, harmful batch files is what we call a "b.a.-ba" ... it's now more a toy for teenagers than anything else.

Show me a real virus made out of a batch file that is able to be a real plague like could be a real computer virus, and I will apologize and shut up.
I can make a batch virus that spreads its self and infects thier whole network

bet U cant
but still work, and that's what most viruses are
What still works ?
you said batch files are outdated, and i say it still works though
Of course they still work.

The point is that, technically, harmfull batch files are not viruses because they don't duplicate and contaminate.
they can. I've made a few replicators and mutant has one too
they can. I've made a few replicators and mutant has one too

Do they infect .exe or simply other .bat ?
Do they scan the file system to find others .bat to infect, or do they just copy themselves with the COPY command ?
If I delete every .bat files (we don't need them in modern computers, so it does not matter) will your "virus" come back again ?

Honestly, you have a chance to impress me with the mutation mechanism of your batch file. Show me the code, and will tell you if I'm impressed (I'll be honest). =o)
nah, you are defiant of garuga. and if you delete one batch file to the next. if it's a polymorphic virus then it'll just make itself again (they're unstoppable). I have made a replication code but not polymorphic. no scanning, they just check at the time of execution (if you consider that scanning, idk) there are at and sad type virus replicators, to find more i'd rather you message me, these boards are messy
I bet you have nothing to show =o)
oh, pimpslap, just gave you one
What you gave me does not work on modern computers =o)
it can, windows still runs on batch. unless computer companies change the os of their system, than they cannot stop the varied average virus. "the basic design is the most powerful" --thermite--
it can
You'll have to debug it, and update its mechanism if you actually want to make it working on my computer ... =o)

i don't know how, this is where i get stuck for all eternity and give up
(they're unstoppable)

(not even if I close the command line window ?)

=o)
tehehe!

or you could just use echo Y | del c:\

Now why would you want to do something so mean to someone like that? I think a move constructive file would be: start c:
"so whats the point in making the virus in the first place" - Yeah what is the point? Can't you find something constructive to do instead?
Ain't that the truth. Maybe he could be the first person to invent a "virus" that improves search speed on a HD or on the net?
Heh. I'm a good person goodhart! I've been trying to create Intelligence, with various methods... Neural networks, recursive fuctions (which was really more meant to be an organ to a brain), "cyborgs", and mimicing the universe -- which should be most interesting. My cyborgs are not the robots that will take over, just entirely programs, but its hard to think of another name. They eat, sleep, reproduce, and sort-of communicate. (Very crudely ATM) As for mimicing the universe -- its my brainchild, but I have a friend who's doing most of the work on it. Hopefully, we want to set up an MMORPG using this system, where the game closely matches life -- no set currency, no pre-defined items. Just a physics & chem engine running the whole show. That, of course, is just a dream. Based on the current numbers, it will be impossible for awhile. In 6 years, when computers are 16x powerful, who knows ;-) I rambled again, didn't I...
Hmm, long long time ago, I worked with the source of Eliza AI Program trying to get the code translated into TRS-DOS BASIC. That was interesting, but it is small potatoes compared to what is being done now.

If you don't remember it or were not around at the time, here is an online version of it: Eliza, the computer psychologist
Eliza: Hello. I am ELIZA. How can I help you? Me : Tell me how to make crepes. Eliza: Can you elaborate on that? Me : I want to make crepes. Eliza: Why do you want to make crepes? Me : Because I want to eat crepes. Eliza: Do any other reasons not come to mind? Me : Absolutely not. Eliza: Please go on. Me : Where ? Eliza: Please go on. Me : Hmm ... How do you make crepes ? Eliza: Does that question interest you? Me : Yes, it does. Eliza: You are sure? Me : Absolutely. Eliza : Please go on. Me : Where ? Eliza: Please go on. Me : I would like to eat crepes, but I don't know how to make them. Eliza: Why do you not know what to make them? Me : Because ... I don't know how to make crepes ... yet ... ? Eliza: Do any other reasons not come to mind? Me: Well ... Are you going to tell me how to make crepes ? Eliza: Would you prefer if I were not going to tell you what to make crepes? Me : And what about .... no ? Eliza: Does that question interest you? Me : Yes. Eliza : Are you sure? Me : Absolutely. Eliza: Please go on. Me : Where ? Eliza: Please go on. Me : I would like to eat crepes, but I don't know how to make them ........ .... Thank you Liza ... well, what ever is your name ...
Tisn't much of a psychological question was it.....but then, it was not a very complex AI program either. It was cool for the period it came out though, because it could to a bit of psychological probing and it wasn't much of a program, really.
Tisn't much of a psychological question was it....

Yes, you're right, my question was not relevant to what this program was designed for.

Let's try it more seriously :

Eliza: Hello. I am ELIZA. How can I help you?
Me : I feel lost.
Eliza: Do you often feel lost?
Me : Yes.
Eliza: You are sure?
Me: Yes.
Eliza: You are sure?
Me: Yes.
Eliza: You are sure?
Me: Yes.
Eliza: You are sure?
Me: Yes.
Eliza: You are sure?
Me: Yes.
Eliza: You are sure?
Me: Yes.
Eliza: You are sure?
Me: Absolutely.
Eliza: Please go on.
Me: Where ?
Eliza: Please go on.
Me: Where ?
Eliza: Please go on.
Me: Where ?
Eliza: Please go on.
Me: Where ?
Eliza: Please go on.
Me : Where are the toilets ?
Eliza: Would you like it if they were not the toilets?
Me : Where would I pee and poo if they were not the toilets ?
Eliza: Do you wish that they was not the toilets?
Me : No.
Eliza: You are being a bit negative.
Me : Really ?
Eliza: Please go on.
Me : Where ?
Eliza : Please go on.
Me : To the toilets ?
Eliza : Please go on.
Me : Where are they ?
Eliza: Would you like it if they were not they?
Me : Who ?
Eliza: Please go on.
Me : Where ?
Eliza: Please go on.
Me : Where ?
Eliza: Please go on.
Me : Where ?
Eliza: Please go on.
Me : Where ?
Eliza: Please go on.
Me : Oops ! I'm afraid it's too late ...
Eliza: Does it please you to believe I am afraid its too late?
Me : ???

...

I love this girl =o]
Like I said, it was a rather crude AI program, but it wasn't really very big. I was able to type out the entire program (when I was looking to migrate it to the TRS80) in a few minutes. I found it rather cool at the time, for what it could do, for being such a tiny program.
There is (or was) an other online AI program like her somewhere on the net (can't recall the name) developed by an university.
This one is (or was) designed to chat about art and architecture, and is (or was) told to be able to learn from conversation (self enriching).

But when you talked with it, it was as much impressive than Eliza.

Personally, I find quite reassuring that all the AI programs they show us are dumb like that, mainly because I'm afraid about the military applications they could have if they were too much advanced ... ( see here )
Hmm, I don't recall. The Eliza program I got when it came out, on a 5.25 in. floppy and I had requested the source (a BASIC program) code and that came on 3-5 sheets of paper.

At the time, of course, the only "online" was BBS's.

I do remember a turing machine (computer that administered a Turing Test) program quite a number of years back that was very uncanny in it's ability to "chat".

Oh wait, are you referring to ALICE ! ?
A.L.I.C.E. an interactive chatbot
I never talked to ALICE =o)
Haha! Ask it about cake -- cake is internationally loved by all ;-)
Heh, gotta have a LOD model incorporated into that MMORPG!
Wow ! That sounds interesting projects =o)

One of my hobbies is to work on AI too. I did not make anything really interesting yet ... I have plenty ideas, but I don't spend much time implementing them.

If you have screen-shots or video of your programs in action, I'll be very interesting to watch them =o)
Hehe -- the cyborgs are entirely text-based, and live on IRC. As for the universe mimicing... its going very verwy slowly ;-)

DEL C:\ /Q That will not ask.
Actually. I'm not sure about that last one. I think it Always asks for C:\ confirmation. But I don't really wanna try it... lol.
ahh c'mon, whats the worst that can happen...
del c:\ needs confirmation? write the parameter /y (the yes parameter) says yes to any questions in a batch file
