where and how can i download music without buying it......

Haven't used it for quite a while, but MP3 Rocket provided free software for searching for and downloading music. It was legal, but told you to remove the mp3 after it had been listened to. Your "license" was single use. They did mark their mp3's however. Not just with tags, but embedded code. If you check out this route, ensure that you do not share the files you download. It could easily become a big deal if you did....especially today.

If you run Windows, try this:

-Get Audacity
-set it up for "stereo mix" recording
-get a pandora account.
-Disable system sounds in the control panel.
-fire up your pandora account.
-run audacity, and hit record.

If you did it right, the audio coming into your computer should be recorded into Audacity. just trim and export!

Have you seen Free Play Music?

I've been using it at school, it's got loads of music that is perfect for backing videos or slideshows.

Not really the same but if you want free music check out the pandora website. Its a site where you can assemble your own radio program. It will play music that is similar to the songs you choose. In essence, thats free music too.

Not necessarily if someone buys music then makes a music web site and posts the music they bought and lets people have it it s not illegal.....

yea, its still illegal. it is legal to buy it then back it up for your own use though.

You can get free music on your phone on myxer.com. I haven't tried it on a computer
