seized electric motor

I'm trying to fix a dishwasher. The pump motor seems to be seized. It doesn't __feel___ that stuck, and has spun for me 1 out of 5 times.

Any ideas on how to fix it?

What kind of bearings does the motor have? Are they ball bearings or just a sleeve bearing? Have you tried to pull the motor apart yet to see if everything is fine inside? Have you tried to oil the bearings yet?

I'm not sure what bearings. Motor appears to be built such that disassembly isn't an option. (but maybe I'll take a second look) I did oil the bearings as much as I could without disassembly.
The only way to fix the problem is to pull the motor apart and see if there are any damage to the bearings or damage/gunk getting caught up on the inside of the motor.

Chances are you'll have to buy a replacement pump.

Thanks. yeah, I'll probably try that.

I think the homeowner is leanin toward replacing the whole dishwasher when her budget allows.

New motor-$150
New dishwasher $500
