spec a dc motor for a vehicle

I am making an electric vehicle. Assume no friction on a flat surface.

The vehicle will have two dc electric motors preferably 24v or 48v system as space is an issue(about 3.5 x 4 feet)
one motor on each drive axle.
The vehicle will weigh 2000lbs
have a max speed of 10miles per hour
be able to reach max speed in under 5 seconds
overall wheel diameter will be 16 inches
Can be geared down to attain needed torque but must go up to 10miles per hour.
Please include formulas so I can at least know how to do this in the future.
I need to know power, torque, rpm needed for electric motor.

Why two motors ?

Will the vehicle need to turn ?

I understand It is going to be autonomous and you are going to try to make it zero
turn radius and have the drive wheels steer as well push the vehicle.

But the engineer needs to know, why two motors which adds extra weight and inefficiency ?

Do you already have them ?

What are they ?

I don’t have the motors yet as I was hoping for help on the specs of the motors. But is there a good way to make zero turn radius without a motor on each axle?

Sounds like another school/contest problem to me....
