tilt sensor controlled by wireless remote

hi: I would love to make a tilt sensor that can be placed inside something of value (since I'm a musician this happens to be a guitar case:), so that if someone picks up the guitar case, it would activate a loud alarm. It's easy enough to come up with a design for a tilt switch (maybe a ball bearing inside a tube), but it would be really nice if I could arm the circuit with a wireless remote. Any suggestions? thanks

mercury switch is the way to go just arm it by a hidden switch

thanks I aqctually have tried the mercury switch before, works great, but I'm going to try and activate the circuit with a wireless, because having to use a mechanical switch it's tough to get to it without setting off the alarm
use the mercury sitch like a tilt switch, so if someone tils your case more then say 20o then it would go off. but it wouldn't go off if someone were to lightly tap the case

thanks for the suggestions not a problem mounting the alarm permanently in the case, I'm fairly new to electronic hacking, is there a diagram or circuit on the web that anyone knows about?
design the tilt switch and find a suitable wireless module then itll be the time to design the rest

A wireless controller sounds cool (I've done some work with wireless modules, they are cheap!), but might I suggest something simpler: a magnetic reed switch.Turn the alarm on/off with an external magnet (there would still be a master on/off inside.) There's one pretty big downside--you'd probably have to mount the switch and alarm permanently in the case, so it couldn't be moved easily to a different case...

design the project in 3 parts tilt sensor remore and receiver - nearly any toy with remote control can be hacked to work here if the remote functionality is ok circuit that switches on / off the alarm and is controlled by the remote - not hard to build
