video not showing

I made a new instructable and on the last step I put a video but when I publish it there is no video!

Yes, a few times last night at at least once today.

I just put the emblem code in the box and press OK, it appears on he instructable while I'm editing it but when I publish it its not there.

So the changes appear not to be saved? Do you hit the save button before switching to viewing? (and does it look like it did)

Im having the same problem, i embed the video and it show its there but when i press save now the video disappears

Did you remember to select the "Use old embed codes" on YouTube, as has been discussed in the several previous bug reports on this topic?

When you hit the EMBED button on YouTube, there are checkboxes.

Good luck! BTW, it is possible to search for "known" (or at least reported bugs on Instructables, by using the search box with some "Google advanced search" filtering. In this case:

embed video bug inurl:community

gets you a lot of results, including some old problems that have been resolved. Skimming through for 2011 bugs, you'll find several discussions of exactly the problem you report.

what about PNY pictures? they get messed up and I would really like instructables to fix them.
