This Instructable will show you how I (and I emphasize I) make homemade Aloe Vera Gel. I personally use it as a moisturizer on my aging sun-kissed, exposed chest skin and neck, hoping that it will rejuvenate it over the long run and keep that part of my skin looking young. Show us your health and beauty home remedies to win a Kindle Paperwhite and other prizes.

Humans have dealt with mild maladies since the first cavebaby got diaper rash. Rather than nip on down to the local druggist, your ancestors had to salve the problem with what they had on hand.

Judges are looking for well-photographed home remedies, so document your DIY cures and treatments that address one or more of the following symptoms - or something similar!

Burns, bee stings, bug bites, headaches, insomnia, puffy eyes, varicose veins, acne, backne, sore muscles, sore joints, skin tags, eczema, halitosis, cough, allergies, motion sickness, oil skin, bunions, blisters, hot flashes, lethargy, nausea, gas, toothache, cramps, sniffles, bloating, teething pain, bruises, lice, scrapes, dry sinuses, hemorrhoids, damaged hair, infrequent urination, rhinoceros elbows, sore throat, ingrown hair, hangnails, hiccups, eye-twitches, urinary tract infections, and unwanted hair. (It should go without saying but we’re legally obligated to say it: these projects are not a replacement for actual medical care. Consult your physician, do your research, and be smart.)

Multiple entries are accepted, but each entrant can only win one prize. Contest is open to entries from US, Canada [excluding Quebec], UK, China, Belgium, the Netherlands, Australia, Colombia, Germany, Switzerland, Norway, India, New Zealand, and Denmark. The Contest begins at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time (PT), September 30, 2013. Contest closes for entries at 11:59pm PT, November 25, 2013.

The winner(s) will be solely responsible for complying with any and all applicable statutes, laws (including, without limitation, common law, if applicable), rules and regulations and for bearing any personal income tax, VAT, withholding taxes, customs duties, or other taxes, fees, insurance, surcharges or other costs relating to receiving, claiming or collecting any prize.
