Overview

Our LED Contest is back! We're happy about this because we love LEDs and we know that many of you out there love them as well. So let's see what awesome ideas are out there with a contest!

The rules are super-simple. In fact, there's just one rule to be aware of: to enter the contest your Instructable must involve at least one LED. That's it. Your project can be very small or truly epic, it just needs to involve LEDs in some way.

For prizes we are once again teaming up with the cool folks at Phenoptix. First prize includes everything you need to build two kits: the floodlight and the MR16. To make it even better we're throwing in a custom laser-etched Leatherman Juice and our Instructables Prize Pack which includes a one-year Pro membership, t-shirt, and more! Runners-up will get the MR16 kit and the Instructables Prize Pack.

So what are you waiting for? Get out your LEDs and make something great! Instructables published from August 25 - September 19 are eligible for entry Multiples entries are accepted, but each entrant can only win one prize International entries are accepted Voting period: Sept. 20 - 22 Judging period: Sept. 23 - 27

How It Works

Write an Instructable

Create a new Instructable that fits the guidelines outlined in the contest description above. To be eligible, Instructables must be published between Aug 25, 2010 and Sep 19, 2010 (11:59pm PT).

Enter

Upon publishing your Instructable you'll see checkboxes for open contests. Select LED Contest. If you have entries currently eligible for entry, it will also show up by clicking "Enter this Contest" on the right side of this page.

Accepting

Entries are accepted by Instructables staff within one business day Monday - Friday. What matters is the submission time, not acceptance time.

Judging

A panel of judges made up of Instructables staff and respected members of the community rate the finalists. The averages of the ratings determine the winners.

Winners

When the winners are decided they will be notified and announced here on the contest page.
