Thank you very much Instructables.com, It's really an honor to be one of the winners of this contest, specially because I got it with my first instructable.
The contest was really hard, I even thought my Phone-powered flashlight was too simple next to the other finalists.

Thank you everyone that voted for me, I got the runners-up prize and I'll keep trying for the Grand Prize on the next contests!

I hope they don't pick the entry that looks expensive. It would ruin it for the rest of us that can't afford the shiny stuff. Mine cost me a grand total of nothing as I already had the parts. Maybe someone ought to start a contest based on that... A recycling contest where all materials must be found and no money is spent to make it.

this is a diy 12v led light to replace any 12v light bulb like spotlights car lights interior break lights... whatever has the standard 2 pin plug.. its protected so it wont burn out from spikes or reverse currents that may be caused in a car...

We have been perfecting this product over the course of the last year or so. So far the reception has been fantastic and users are always looking for more features (hardware wise) and we have tried to accomodate as appropriate.

We are planning an SMD release with an FTDI chip and TFQ-32 of the ATMEGA328

Attached are the final render and a prototype (purple) in size comparison to the original version

Then it would be hard for the system to know which contest you were voting for with ones entered in multiple contests. Sure they could have multiple vote buttons, but that would be a lot of coding. Also this way, in order to vote someone has to look at the lot of them, they can't just be directed to one by a link and vote for it with out even looking at the rest, which I think is a good thing.

That is exactly why I think it is a good thing. Your friends shouldn't be going straight to your instructable and voting on it purely because they are your friends, they should be looking at the entrants and voting based on which is the best.

A good place to get LEDs is dealextreme. For $1.25, you can get a 10 pack of High brightness LEDs of almost any colour! I used them for my Instructable's project section. Check it out (here)

My color organ is up and running!!! My entry will be up soon. Keep an eye out for both videos. There is a performance video and an instructable video. All shot on my iphone 4 and Macbook Pro; so the colors aren't nearly as bright and vivd as real life. I will try and attach some HD photos to show the real potential.
