Panasonic Palmcorder and Webcamera combined into one?

Hello, I'm slightly new to this site but I love the heck out of it. I was wondering if it would be possible to remove the lens out of an old (from like 1995) panasonic palmcorder and put it into a webcam. I'm into brickfilming and I'm getting tired of my webcam's crappy foucus.
