Hey guys, today i am gonna be showing you 10 funny computer pranks, and how to do them! also, this is my first instrucatable, so don't blame me if i don't do this good.

Step 1: 10. Un-clickabe Icons

What you need
-Version of windows that has the "snipping tool"
-Version of windows that has supports "Google Chrome" and has it installed.
What to do - Method 1
-Open "Snipping tool"
-"Snip" your desktop
-Save the "Snip" as a file named "Capture" (it should be auto named that)
-open the picture with "Google Chrome"
-Press the "F11" key
-Watch as your friends try to click on the icons!
What to do - Method 2
-Open "Snipping tool"
-"Snip" your "Desktop", but NOT the taskbar (the bar on the bottom)
-Save the "Snip" as "Capture" (it should be auto named that
-right click on the "Desktop" and roll over "View" in the list, and click on "Show Desktop Icons"
-set the file named "Capture" as your desktop background
-watch your friends try to open programs, and the recycle bin!

Step 2: 9. Fake Viruses and Messages

So, lets say that you have a guy that messes around with you a whole bunch. and you have all ways wanted his files to be lost. you can trick him into doing it!
What you need
-Microsoft Windows (Sorry Linux / Mac users!)
-Notepad
What to do
- Copy this into notepad: x=msgbox("Your Text Here" ,0, "Your Title Here")
-replace "Your Text Here" and "Your title here" with something else.
-replace the 0 with a different number
-go to File> Save as...
-Click on all files, then name it Download manager.vbs
-Go to your Program files folder
-Make a new folder called download manager
-save "Download manager.vbs" in the folder you have made
-double click download manager
-you should see a window open with the title and text you have chosen
-make a new shortcut
-make it lead to "C:\Program Files\Download Manager\Download manager.vbs"
-name the shortcut Download manager
-go to the properties, and press "Change Icon"
-choose a icon, or browse for a icon you have put on your computer
-double click the download helper shortcut on the desktop
-you should see a window open with the title and text you have chosen
-if it doesn't work, read this manual again
-Remember when i said "replace the 0 with a different number"? well heres a chart of numbers you can use, and what the do.

-0 =OK button only
-1 =OK and Cancel buttons
-2 =Abort, Retry, and Ignore buttons
-3 =Yes, No, and Cancel buttons
-4 =Yes and No buttons
-5 =Retry and Cancel buttons
-16 =Critical Message icon
-32 =Warning Query icon
-48 = Warning Message icon
-64 =Information Message icon
-0 = First button is default
-256 =Second button is default
-512 =Third button is default
-768 =Fourth button is default
-0 =Application modal (the current application will not work until the user responds to the message box)
-4096 =System modal (all applications wont work until the user responds to the message box)

Step 3: 8. Fake BSOD

We all know what BSOD is. Blue Screen Of Death. get on your friends computer and follow these steps.
What you need
-A picture of what a crash looks like in your OS
What to do
-put the picture of the crash in the pictures folder (Windows)
-if the person has any other pictures, put them in a different directory (People get mad when they loose pictures!)
-make sure the only picture in their pictures folder is the BSOD picture
-go to the screen saver settings
-select the "photos" selection as the screen saver
-apply the changes
-let the computer sit inactive for a while
-watch your friend suffer until he moves his mouse!

Step 4: 7. REAL BSOD

Ok. friend REALLY bugging you? crash his pc! its harmless, really. the computer just looses vital resources, thus causing a crash.t What you need
-Microsoft windows
What to do
- Copy this into notepad: start %0
%0
-go to File> Save as...
-Click on all files, then name it Download manager.bat
-Go to your Program files folder
-Make a new folder called download manager
-save "Download manager.bat" in the folder you have made
-make a new shortcut
-make it lead to "C:\Program Files\Download Manager\Download manager.bat"
-name the shortcut Download manager
-go to the properties, and press "Change Icon"
-choose a icon, or browse for a icon you have put on your computer
-double click the download helper shortcut on the desktop
-tell your friend it lets you download free programs and does it really fast
-LOL!
-for a real twist, put the shortcut in their startup folder, then, every time their computer starts, many windows open, and it crashes. (REALLY HARMFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
-if it doesn't work, read this manual again

Step 5: 6. Setting Hotkeys

Ok, so you you have a friend that checks their keyboard after they power on? (Maybe not...) this harmless prank opens a key whenever your friend presses a key, when their not focused on a text box.
What you need
-computer with ANY OS!
What to do
-set any key on the keyboard as a hot key
-For windows, right click on a app and go to the properties of it.
-go to the box that says "Shortcut Key-None
-click on it, then press a key.
-make your friend press the combination of keys

Step 6: 5. Scary Maze Game

Wanna see how sensitive your friend is? do this!
What you need
-A Computer
-A Sensitive friend
What you do
-go to http://www.maniacworld.com/maze_game.htm
-Press F11 (Makes the browser fullscreen. press F11 To undo this.)
-Make your friend play it
-Watch them scream!

Step 7: 4. Inverted Mouse

you wanna just mess around with your friend? here's a harmless prank just for that!
What you need
-Microsoft windows
What to do
-Go to control panel
-Go to Mouse
-Tick the check box for "Switch primary and Secondary buttons"
-Apply & ok
-Close
-Watch your friends mind be boggled!

Step 8: 2. Change the Windows Login Screen

so, you wanna make your friend get a few laughs, or give him a scare when he logs on his PC?
What you need
-Microsoft windows 7
What to do - Method 1
-Open the Windows Start menu and enter regedit into the search bar
-Right click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and select Find
-Search for OEMBackground, which should be in ComputerHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionAuthenticationLogonUIBackground. If the key does not exist, add a new DWORD value with the name OEMBackground
-Double click on the entry OEMBackground, and change the value from 0 to 1
-Open Windows Explorer and go to the following path: %windir%system32oobe
-Create a new folder named info, and open it
-Create a new folder within info named backgrounds
-Rename your desired wallpaper as backgroundDefault.jpg and place it inside the folder backgrounds (images must be less than 245KB in size)
What to do - Method 2
-go to http://www.techspot.com/downloads/4902-logon-changer-windows7.html
-make or choose a login screen
-Reboot

Step 9: 1. Ubuntu OS

You wanna really scare your best buddy? or enemy? follow these steps!
What you need
-Computer WITHOUT Ubuntu OS
-Blank Non Blu-ray CD
What to do
-Go to Ubuntu.com
-Download Ubuntu OS
-Download Imgburn
-get Blank CD
-Put in disk drive and burn ISO Ubuntu OS file to CD
-Restart friends PC With disk inside
-Boot from the disk
-Choose the "Try Ubuntu" option (Unless this is your computer and you want to install, I Will put install options on end of post)
-delete the install ubuntu icon
-Watch!
-For those of you that want to install ubuntu, IT IS RECOMMENDED TO INSTALL ALONGSIDE YOUR CURRENT OS!!!!!!!!!!!!
-BECAUSE THEN YOU KEEP ALL PF YOUR WINDOWS FILES! WHEN YOU BOOT, USE THE ARROW KEYS TO CHOOSE WINDOWS OR UBUNTU!!!!! ALSO, no more caps, you can choose how much spaace you want ubuntu to use on your hard disk or SSD. have fun pranking and/or installing!
