10 Point Metal Shuriken

10 Point Metal Shuriken
I was looking around Instructables for metal shurikens, but the only ones I could find were made from tin can lids. They didn't really work too well, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and make my own.
They work really well, but they're not even close to authentic.

They're also pretty cheap. Using 12 gauge steel from home depot, they cost about 18 cents apiece to make.

WARNING
These shurikens are SHARP!
They can break skin incredibly easily, even when you're just handling them.
NEVER throw them at another person or animal.
They are meant to be used as a projectile weapon, and should be given the respect due to them as such.

Step 1Materials

Materials
Materials:
Sheet Metal. Anything reasonably strong. I used galvanized stainless steel, 12 gauge. The thicker it is, the more expensive and harder to use, but also the more durable it will be.

You need at least a 3" by 3" square, but you can scale up the design as needed.

Tools:
Ruler
Sharpie Marker
Tin Snips
Pliers
Hammer
